The Life of the Parish Community

Mar Thoma Cheriapally is sustained not only by Holy Qurbana and pilgrimage, but by the dedicated work of parish organizations that serve every generation. From children in Sunday School to youth in active service and women leading fellowship and charity, these groups keep the church alive in daily life.

Together they support worship, education, outreach, and the sacred traditions of Cheriapally — including the Kanni 20 Perunnal, parish feasts, and the pastoral care of families across Kothamangalam.

Youth & Young Adults

Mar Basil Youth Association Kothamangalam

Mar Basil Youth Association Kothamangalam brings together young members of Cheriapally for prayer, fellowship, service, and active participation in the life of the church. Through organized activities and shared responsibility, the youth help carry forward the traditions of Cheriapally into each new generation.

Children & Christian Education

Sunday School

The parish Sunday School ministry coordinates Christian education for children — nurturing faith, Scripture knowledge, and participation in the life of the church. Through weekly classes and seasonal programmes, children learn the foundations of the Syriac Orthodox faith in the tradition of Cheriapally.
